That is a good question! We have been all over the place and have a ton of things to update our friends and family on. As school and work have taken up a majority of our time our poor weblog has been neglected. So maybe in the next week while I (Mareesha) has some extra time off, I'll try to update you all on what we have been up to.
Well first off we are moving! When? No latter than August 1st, no sooner than July 15th. We are very excited to get to move into a new house that will allow us to have more friends and family over, but we are also sad to be moving away from the area we currently live at.
While Chris's job is turning into summer hours I will be working at my practicum site. I will have to complete 320 hrs. before September 1st at the Cedar House. A home for foster children who have come from meth houses, or experienced some other form of sever neglect or abuse.
Throughout the summer we will also be working on remodeling our new house with Chris's parents. We are looking forward to this as we will have a chance to learn a lot and grow in our relationships with them. If any of you would like to come help us on anything (maybe teach us a few new skills) that you may have a hidden talent or mad skill on, you will be warmly welcomed and fed. The house is going to need a big face lift. We will be ripping out the old kitchen and putting in a new one. Taking down popcorn ceiling, putting in a mantel for the fire place, re-doing the bathrooms, tearing down wall paper, replacing the roof and much much more! You name it we are going to probably be doing it. So if you are board or just really want to see us (hee hee hee) we welcome you to the Backman Work Force!
