Pathfinder!!!

Yes, we are the new proud owners of a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder!  Over the past six or seven months we have been discussing buying an SUV to replace Mareesha's car.  We like to do a lot of traveling, camping, and skiing and our cars were just not great for all these activities.  Now we have a reliable 4 wheel drive vehicle to get us up to the mountain!  Oh yeah, it also has a nice trailer hitch...you know, great for pulling things like BOATS!!!  Stay tuned...

It only took 5 months...

We began work on our bathroom back in July...and finally finished the work in December!  We painted twice (we didn't like the first color we used), we installed a new sink faucet, new hardware for the cabinet, new towel racks, and we added beadboard with baseboard and molding.  We really like the way it turned out.  We certainly couldn't have finished it without the help of our good friends Dave and Suzanna - thanks for the help guys!

(Oh yes, Mira helped us with the bath room as well as installing the sinks!)

Easy to do is exactly what I was thinking when Chris and I deiced to take on replacing both the bathroom and kitchen sinks. Let me to you, I was wrong about that. After struggling with the sinks for 5 plus hours we finally finished up around 2am. In the midst of all of the frustration, we did find the most helpful website in the realm of "Doing it Yourself" we highly suggest this site for anyone doing anything that they have or have not done before and need a little guidance. The Best Ski Resort in the World

It may take a good few plus hours to get there, but Whistler has become my favorite ski resort (yes, it has beaten Silver Mt. in ID). In the first weekend of December Chris and I with our friends Rob and Amy took off for what I would say has been the best skiing of the season so far. After a very long car ride in some very nasty traffic we arrived in Whistler. We spent one day skiing and the second day exploring and had a blast doing both. It was Chris' second time skiing and he did great! We got him lessons (which we suggest getting for beginners) this time, as we learned teaching a spouse is trying and well safest so that both have a fun time.

So some of the things that made this mountain so cool:

1. The EDGE card, a card that we bought pre season and got great deals on lift tickets, ski lessons and with this card you could have your credit card hooked up to it so there was no hassling with your wallet.

2. Two mountains to chose from, both with very different terrain (multiple ways & areas to get up to them).

3. A very well set up system from picking up lift tickets, rentals, lockers, to getting up to the mountain and back down.

4. The village, a very inviting and cozy community that you fit right into once you arrive.

5. The views (everywhere you looked you were surrounded by God's awesome beauty).
