Wow!
Usually when a movie is made from a beloved book many things are changed from the original story. Characters are removed, plot lines are shortened, and often the "feel" of the book is lost. The movie usually is great, but is a completely different work than the book (ie, Jurassic Park). Peter Jackson got if very close with Lord of the Rings, but those book are so detailed and long that it was impossible for him to capture everything from JRR Tolkien's world in the movies. Great movies, no doubt!
Enter Narnia. Wow! I don't want to ruin anything from the movie for those of you who have not yet seen it, so I won't include any spoilers or details about the movie. I will say that I left extremely impressed and determined to see the film again - soon! It definitely followed not only the heart of CS Lewis' masterpiece, but his entire story! It's been about six months since I read The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, but I can't think of anything this movie left out. Incredible!!! Go see it and let me know what you think. And as always, make sure you read the book!
